ITSSAR (Independant Training Standards Scheme And Register) – Offering ITSSAR Operator since the 1990’s and Instructor training for over 10 years, we have three Cat 4 Tutors with vast experience within the industry.

In January 2015, ITSSAR introduced their TOPS registration scheme to ensure there is a register in place for all ITSSAR accredited training. If you have been trained by HL Training at our centre since January 2015, it is very likely you will be on this registration scheme. For more info, please contact the office.

RTITB (Road Transport Industry Training Board) – We have offered RTITB Operator Training since HL began. In the mid 2000’s we started offering Instructor Training (Train the Trainer) too as we sought to bridge a gap for RTITB instructor training in the south west.

Since then, we have built up a strong relationship and offer an extremely high standard of Operator & Instructor Training at our training centre, but also on customers locations. With over 100,000 candidates being entered onto their NORS database annually – which is the original database within the industry for trained operators – the contribution of operators through RTITB is quite significant.

AITT (Association of Industrial Truck Trainers) – Having originally been an AITT Member for many years HL , our Director Shane Richardson noticed in 2018 a huge growth for AITT within the industry. Like with RTITB, we were looking for a gap to join the a quickly growing Accrediting body. We recognised a gap for Instructor Training in the south west.

In late 2019, we rejoined AITT after a long absense, after meeting with Managing Director Adam Smith. We currently have a wide range of Cat 1 Instructors available to us, and one Cat 4 Tutor.

AITT Operator Registration (ACORNS) scheme was started in 2014 and undergoes a 17-point check to make sure it complies with the relevant standards.

We absolutely love being able to tell our customers how we have multiple accredditations within the industry – however one that has helped us ensure we provide the best quality training to our customers year on year is Safecontractor.

For six years we have gone through vigorous checks to ensure we meet the required standard to become approved.
