Asbestos Awareness Asbestos awareness training is essential for workers and supervisors who and it provides candidates with the information they need to avoid work that may disturb asbestos during normal work. It will not prepare candidates to carry out work with asbestos-containing materials. Course Content; Emergency procedures, (how to deal with an asbestos incident) The properties of Asbestos and its effects on health The operations which could result in asbestos exposure The importance of preventive controls to minimise exposure The types of products or materials likely to contain asbestos Safe working practices, control measures, and protective equipment Managers Responsibilities (how to protect workers and avoid a prosecution) Role of Asbestos Surveys and how to understand what is in them – this includes a practical demonstration The purpose, choice, limitations, proper use and maintenance of respiratory protective equipment A short video appropriate to the work undertaken by your workers

Certification Approved accredited Certificate that is valid for 12 months All Approved Training Courses will be put through an approved Training Centre. Non-Licensed Asbestos Works This non-licensed course is aimed at candidates within trade or industry who will work on asbestos products that does not require a license Examples are for builders, electricians, plumbers, carpenters etc and any who needs to complete works on asbestos containing materials. The Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 prevents anyone from removing Asbestos Containing Materials (ACM’s) unless they have received the correct training.
