Interested in Bendi forklift operator training accredited by ITSSAR?
Since the acquisition of our Flexi Forklift, we can carry out specialist forklift training at our specialist facility in Barton Hill Trading Estate, Bristol. One of our highly qualified Bendi Forklift instructors will undertake this training course. As of August 2022, we have taken on a delivery of a brand new Bendi Truck – meaning we can now offer training for a wider range of forklifts.
Bendi Forklifts are designed for narrow aisles that are more difficult to traverse in traditional forklifts. As a result, their technical name of Articulated Very Narrow Aisle Counterbalances truck was established.
Bendi forklift training courses are available throughout South Wales and the remainder of the UK on customer sites or at our Bristol Training Centre. This means that no matter where you are, you can receive the best forklift training with HL Training.

Is a forklift license a requirement?
There is no such thing as a forklift license as such. However, once you pass a forklift operators course, you receive a certificate of basic training that qualified you to operate a forklift. This is a legal document that physically allows you, along with valid authorisation, to operate the forklift. Despite being unable to offer a physical license, we can offer an ID Card to accompany your certificate.
How regularly should I undergo forklift training?
After completing forklift training, there are no legal requirements to complete a refresher forklift training course. However, you should take a refresher course for forklift operation any time you feel that this is necessary.
If you have not taken a refresher course in the last five years, the HSE recommends that you look into taking a refresher course soon. This is to keep up with any advancements in forklift technologies and operational basics, as per HSE recommendations.
When does my forklift certificate expire?
Once you have achieved your certification for forklift operation, you have no obligation to take any refresher courses as your certification will not expire. After completing your certification, you are advised to take refresher courses when you feel this is necessary, but this is not a legal requirement. Guidelines from HSE are that you should complete courses every 3 to 5 years. However, various factors come into play, including:
- No use within an extended period
- Whether a candidate had had an accident
